We just finished the series, too. However, as it progressed it got complicated/hard to follow for our old minds, and then toward the end the Reece character (your brother's name!) went really haywire. The final episode was a sad conclusion for us. But, aside from all that, YOU have done another great job with your writing. During the series we talked often about how you two might enjoy seeing some of your old stomping grounds on Coronado!
Wow, thanks for the reply! Might I ask what got complicated? The most complicated character has to be the Secretary of Defense lady. I couldn't decide what her character was. Too many contradictions exposed by the investigative writer.
Also I was hoping the ending would go a different way as well but Reece did what he had to I guess. I just felt that his buddy had earned his way back maybe.
Being hard to follow caused it to become complicated to us. Yes...I agree about Ben, his buddy. I suspected him early in the series (for no real reason), but then after all he did for Reece (risking his own life multiple times) seemed to discount him from being involved in all the mess. The series' writers seemed to just manufacture the ending on the boat (bang!) very late, and it would have much more satisfying for us if they'd just let them move on as friends. Best friends, actually. You think there will be another season?
Totally agree. Although we didn't see the shot only heard it. Leaving it open to him firing and missing on purpose. The show could definitely move on if they're both alive.
That thought crossed my mind today, too. Let's go with that possibility! Hope you and your growing family are doing well these days! Hard to believe that Little Beau turns ONE next week!! We're in the middle of a terrible heat wave...somewhat like you guys experienced recently. At our ages it seems to be a bigger deal than it was when we were younger. But it's just the way it is when you live in the Midwest in July. Keep these SHOWN posts coming!!
Yeah, great show! And great writing babe, you explained it perfectly! I donβt see how they could possibly do any more seasons unless they take a page out of that one horror series where they keep the actors but each season is a completely different story. What the heck is that show....super popular....it was a haunted house, then an insane asylum, then like a circus and maybe witches after that? Anyway, Pratt was awesome in this role.
